Help us shape the future of Brooklyn Movement Center
We need you to share your experiences, hopes and wishes for Black Central Brooklyn and help BMC set its new agenda at an upcoming BMC Black Future Session.
FAQs
What is a BMC Black Future Session?
1
BMC Black Future Sessions are a way for community members, residents and businesses in Bed Stuy, Brownsville and Crown Heights to speak on key issues and challenges, and to identify ways we can organize and make change for Black Central Brooklynites.
Whether it's protecting housing rights, ensuring food security, creating pathways for economic development and land ownership, or other important needs for our community, we want to hear what you think is critical for BMC’s work.
What will happen?
2
We will gather virtually or in person with our partners, CAE, to share what’s happening in the community, identify needs and challenges, and suggest solutions and ideas to help support Black and Brown communities in Central Brooklyn.
Expect to share your input, offer feedback, and connect with residents and community members across Bed Stuy, Crown Heights and Brownsville.
When are the sessions?
3
Our first sessions are coming at the end of April and the beginning of May. Depending on interest, we may hold more sessions in late Spring and early Summer.
Come to our online session on April 29th from 6:30 - 8 PM or to our in-person session on May 2nd from 12 - 2 PM.
